Folk Art Flambeaux

Hand-painted wood cut-out by Louisiana artist Lorraine Gendron. Free-standing and painted on both sides, the Flambeaux man measures approximately 5"x16".

Flambeaux are the torch-bearing men who have traditionally lit the way for Mardi Gras floats during night parades in New Orleans.
